Please share your coaching journey... I started my education as a Life Coach, but my own personal wellness challenges and journey led me to specialise in Integrative Nutrition and Holistic Wellness coaching. Having addressed and significantly improved my own chronic health issues, this was a natural progression and has being a lifelong passion of mine. My mission is to coach clients to address all aspects of their lives and the challenging issues they are currently facing. As often happens when coaches overcome their own challenges, the areas I specialise in are insomnia, (and general sleep dysfunction), and finding powerful and enjoyable ways to address the debilitating effects of short term and chronic stress. My greatest joy is seeing clients turn their lives around and start living with balance, joie de vivre and a much more peaceful and ambitious mindset. What were the areas you coached them on? Overcoming mild to chronic stress disorders and sleep disorders are two big areas that I address with clients. They are often intertwined, and there are a variety of techniques we work on together, in alignment with the clients’ personal situations and goals they want to achieve. These include nutrition, relaxation techniques, exercise, productivity hacks, creativity for expression, sleep hygiene, finding out where a client is stuck and supporting them to address these issues. And many more techniques tailored specifically to each individual client. What results did they achieve after working with you? In my experience, many clients who present with mild or chronic insomnia are usually suffering from stressors in their life that affect their quality and quantity of sleep. Often I find that by narrowing down, naming and addressing their stress with diet, lifestyle and exercise changes, sleep invariably improves. We break the cycle of overwhelm and exhaustion, and invite an enhanced sense of joy and wellbeing. Many clients delight in a feeling of being in control of their day to day lives and more able to live in the moment, feel rested, driven and show themselves and others more compassion. If a client had never worked with a coach before, what would you want them to know about coaching with you? That I have stood in their shoes, and I have great empathy for their situation. I also have the conviction that there are solutions and techniques that absolutely can turn things around and get fantastic results. I know the peace and gratitude that you feel coming out the other side. Your health, energy, productivity, capacity for joy, improved relationships and mood and so many other aspects of life can be vastly improved. I wish I had learned these techniques and lifestyle changes much earlier, hence my passion for sharing them with others. Who are you really passionate about working with? Anyone who is struggling with stress and/or insomnia and is prepared to commit and trust in the process. They are the clients that achieve the most profoundly rewarding results. I also welcome the challenge of helping the individuals who say to me…”oh I really need help, I’ve tried everything but it’s hopeless… “ If they commit to working through their issues, I love to prove them wrong and see the joy that comes from that realisation. What are some of Words of Wisdom that you share with clients that are at the heart of your coaching philosophy. I have learned that it’s transformation that changes lives. And that’s my job. To gently hold you accountable and achieve those goals with me cheering you on! And to provide a non judgemental space where you can explore your options and come up with the answers that are within you, but you haven’t yet had the chance or conviction to recognise or explore them. What else would you like to share about yourself that you think clients would like to know when they are looking to work with you as a coach. I have stood in your shoes. I have lain awake at night desperate for sleep to come, lived all the physical and emotional side effects of chronic stress for years. But I now see these experiences as gifts which led me to find answers through ongoing studies in wellness and life coaching. It augmented my passion and drive to help others with clarity and compassion.
